Sometimes I miss remote learning days, then I remember how I didn’t log off my laptop until past 1 am most nights because some of my students were first-borns and at home, the priority was taking care of their siblings. Coming to school for other kids is the opportunity to just enjoy being a teen.

I miss being a teacher.

The past four years, 60% of the time I’m doing other things that are school-related but definitely not student-centered.

That’s why this is my last year of teaching. I’m just ready to do something else. Teaching is totally different now. And I am PAST EXHAUSTION.

I love being around people who teach me things. I spent the day gallivanting with my little brother’s wife and my gawd she’s canny! She drives better, knows the right places to find limited items, calculates faster than the cashier, knows A LOT about crafts, such a blessing! I love you Ling-Ling!
