from alex's pov:

he convinces himself that as long as he's faithful and kind, he's doing the right thing even though he's withholding the truth

from sarah's pov:

she's in a relationship where the most important person in her boyfriend's life is someone else. she never agreed to that dynamic

the key issue isn't intent. alex isn't trying to betray sarah. the issue is avoidance. he uses the relationship with sarah as a safe container so he doesn't have to confront his feelings for poppy or risk change

thats emotional cheating to a lot of people

he's in love with poppy for years and never creates real emotional space for sarah to fully enter his inner world. poppy is the person he shares intimacy with jokes, vulnerability, meaning, anticipation. sarah gets stability, routine and "this makes sense" not his whole heart

he never crosses that line while they're together but he is emotionally unavailable to her in a way that matters

hate to say it but alex didnt cheat physically but emotionally? yeah kinda

dang replay got cancelled and honestly it kinda hit harder than i expected i was really looking forward to it but at the end of the day if this was the only choice that could protect the artists and everyone involved then i guess it makes sense still lowkey sad tho
