π¨ NEW: Labour is lifting 100,000 children out of poverty by expanding access to free school meals.
Alongside free breakfast clubs, cheaper uniform costs and government-funded childcare, Labour is putting money in parentsβ pockets and giving children the best start in life.
We have had the perfect example this last weekend of why we urgently need to update how we regulate media.
The Guardian headline: Government drops health push after ultra-processed food firm lobbying.
Loads of Labour bashing results.
Yet paragraph 8 tells it happened 2yrs ago under the Tories.

When Trump was sworn in, Elon Musk's corporations were under more than 32 investigations conducted by at least 11 federal agencies.
Most of the cases are now closed or likely to be closed soon, and the federal agencies are being defanged by DOGE.
Funny how that works, huh?
Sharing an important discussion, it looks as though there were very few MPs present for this one, I wonder why?

"The Dawn of Nuclear Physics: The Role of Women" is an article of mine where I tried to provide a historical context to the fundamental role some female scientists have had in the early stages of nuclear physics and its history.

Being a historian, people ask me if I think the US is living through Germany 1933.
I answer no, analogies are always imperfect but to me it feels more like Russia 1999: a blatant theft of state assets and liberals in a fugue state, refusing to believe the arc of progress is bending against them.
