Good win yesterday. Nice to see fringe players get a run-out while some regulars got a rest ahead of a tough week.

With games coming thick and fast, this is how we need to manage it. Rotation is key, and the more we can do with different player mixes, the better. #NUFC

This is where I am also. Richest owners in the world who build cities in the desert, done very little in NE1.

Talk is cheap.

We heard from the CEO this week, but it didnโ€™t change my view that our owners arenโ€™t really committed to #NUFC long term.

Iโ€™ll enjoy the ride, but Iโ€™m not sure
where itโ€™s heading.

Hopkinson seems genuine and calls us PIFโ€™s โ€œfavourite investment,โ€ yet we still donโ€™t get a mention on their website.

Children of the protagonists of Brexit were never going to face the loss of opportunities that Freedom of Movement gave our children. FoM will always be available to the very wealthy.

For me, it was the biggest reason I voted Remain, and itโ€™s the thing I mourn the most out of everything we lost.

Think itโ€™s easier it call a player a flop if he plays for another team - especially him/them!

Moans, groans and boos filter down to the pitch, always thought that was counter-productive.

Thatโ€™s just me, people pay their money and can do what they like.

Hopefully Elanga puts a shift in tonight.

The crud of British politics. The protagonists of Brexit, back for a reunion tour.

JRM next.

Heโ€™s come into a team trying to adapt to a new way of playing (without Isak) whilst simultaneously trying to adapt himself. Its not always that easy.

Eddie will get the best out of him, Iโ€™m sure of it. But the calls Iโ€™ve been hearing of โ€˜ยฃ50m flopโ€™ are well wide of the mark. Imo.

Itโ€™s under fire from left and right โ€“ but Labourโ€™s workers' rights bill is a huge achievement | Polly Toynbee It makes no sense for union leaders to cry betrayal when it will be their members who benefit from these sorely needed reforms, says Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee

Labourโ€™s Employment Rights Bill - a rare effort to address inequality of power.

โ€œA large majority of voters backing Nigel Farage also want stronger working rights. Yet he and his MPs voted against every item in the bill.โ€
But of course they did.

You never know, I know if I were a footballer I would be โ€˜reading the roomโ€™.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, mine is that I think some players need time to settle.

Iโ€™m very sceptical if anything will happen at all. Four years to make a decision suggests a reluctance to make any decision! weโ€™ll

Iโ€™ve seen a lot of vitriol directed at him on social media and on the terraces. Sometimes players just need time to settle and deserve a bit of patience, in my opinion. Hopefully heโ€™s turned a corner now.

Match day.

Whatโ€™s everyone thinking? We beat them in the cup and they had their moments, but Iโ€™m feeling pretty confident. I reckon we could put on a show and win this by a few goals.

Of course I donโ€™t want to move from city centre. But to me, there is no reason why this project should not be further along than it is after four years of ownership.

So did Newcastle around then.

Evertonโ€™s new ground took 5 years from conception to completion.

My thoughts around that is that it would be a multi-faceted sponsorship arrangement .stadium, training ground / kit - like Etihad (maybe Saudi air/ amarco)

But seemingly without movement on any of those it seems odd they wouldnโ€™t go ahead with a training kit sponsor.

That my concern. While PIF are literally building a city in the desert, they donโ€™t seem interested in the growing the infrastructure of their investment in the UK.

#nufc was apparently their flagship sports investment. Yet weโ€™re not even mentioned on thier website.

01.12.2025 22:26 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Itโ€™s right that he was honest and clear to fans. He canโ€™t be held responsible for what was said before.

But it only compounds my scepticism that PIF may not be committed for the long term. Its a worry.

More can kicking. The complete lack of commitment to getting more fans into the stadium is about as surprising to me as Johnathan Gillis defecting to Reform.

Shame.

Quality finish. Heโ€™s got great feet for such a big lad, and has the confidence to use it too.

Think Elanga deserves a mention for the assist too. That lads been getting a load of hammer, wrongly in my opinion.

Perhaps, but I would have thought it would have worked the other way. New capacity would give friends an opportunity to move together. I know if we do it, my friends and I will do that because weโ€™re dotted all around the place.

Thatโ€™s an outrageous claim! Rugby fans are famously teetotal - they only spend ยฃ8m during the magic weekend on hotels and herbal tea. ๐Ÿคฃ

Magic Weekend 2026: Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium to stage Super League event for first time Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium will host Super League's Magic Weekend for the first time in July 2026.

I read this week that the annual egg-chasing event has moved from SJP.

After visiting Evertonโ€™s new stadium, I doubt itโ€™ll last - hardly any nearby bars and a two-mile walk from the city will soon have the wrong-ball fans wanting back to NE1.

I agree. I think both spurs and Evertonโ€™s attempts to parody the yellow wall of Dortmund have failed. Something we need to be very wary of when it comes to our potential new stadium. Design has to be for atmosphere.
