I’m struggling to articulate to lack of hope I feel for our collective ability to disagree respectfully. Political violence is an attack on us all. It must be condemned, strongly, and it must stop.

I was planning to announce office hours this Saturday, but have decided to cancel due to the recent acts of political violence. The truth is, I’m afraid, and it’s extremely disheartening to feel that way.

Grateful to spend the morning at the Raleigh Chamber’s First Responders Appreciation Breakfast honoring those who keep our community safe. Proud to stand with Raleigh Police Chief Rico Boyce as we celebrate the incredible service of our first responders.
