On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at approximately 10:13 p.m., First District officers responded to the 1200 block of East Capitol Street, Southeast, for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a man, unconscious and not breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead.
