That is such a real thought process that resides all too well; in people with abandonment issues, the idea that someone we care about is more likely to die than leave us without a word is a freaky kind of comfort, and if someone *does* leave like that, grief is ++

Chuuya thought dazai was dead because he couldn't find him, because his death was the only possible reason he could have left, he wouldn't have *left chuuya* like that, it hurt less to think he died than that he abandoned chuuya like he did. ++
