"The Dweller" was annoyed by the "Usurper's" meddling. But by rules it can't interfere directly, so it needs an agent. It gave Kairon the power to break free, escape, and become strong enough to destroy the cult.

His story is kinda similar to the Lamb from Cult of the Lamb game. Kairon and his people were taken by a strange cult and he was the last to be sacrificed. Instead of establishing contact with the patron deity of that cult, his rage and hatred attracted the attention of their rival entity

Kairon is a Great Old One warlock. Mostly focused in mental spells and wiles. He also has the Benefit of the Blade, not because he is a skilled swordsman but always have a plan B.

And a weapon that appears and disappears is always useful.

The solution if that happen:
