The tech-gone-wrong thriller series continues in Terrorbytes #5. Though weaker than preceding issues, Russell's story is very clever in how it buries the lead for what is really going on.

Jed MacKay's excellent (and, by current Marvel standards, very long running) Moon Knight epic continues with the new Marc Spector: Moon Knight #1. This intense first issue kicks off a new arc and is perfect for readers old and new.

Jace, Jan, and Space Ghost are headed for a shocking revelation in Space Ghost #8 as @peposed.bsky.social wraps up one of the most emotional arcs the series has delivered.

That's too bad, man. The real fortune was in Deathmate.

Webhead Wednesday flashback!
It's everyone's favorite web-slinger, Spider-Hulk. Plus, Betty Brant: Reporter Extraordinaire is back! All this and more in Web of Spider-Man #70.

Ah, good times. It's so bizarre that a common parenting technique at the time was basically preparing young children for the end of the world.

Batgirl #16 wraps up the Nyssa Al Ghul arc with a little betrayal and, more importantly, a lot more Cass introspection. The series gets back to what it does best after a few muddled issues.

Speed Racer covers for Mad Cave

My covers for Speed Racer 6 and 7 have been revealed! And if youβre thinking, those kind of look like they connect, they do! And Iβll be doing three more!
Coming from @madcavestudios.com, @peposed.bsky.social, Davide Tinto, JΓ£o Canola and Buddy Beaudoin.
Amazing Spider-Man 21's plot is of little consequence. It's probably better that the goblin slayers fade to the background actually, because it lets the much more impressive Norman Osborn character exploration shine.

Fraction and JimΓ©nez deliver great character oriented scenes in Batman #6, from the aftermath of Bruce and Annika's sort-of-date to an announcement by Tim, and even a little villain humanizing. One of the young series' best.

Technically it's turning 31 now. But once you start talking about Age of Apocalypse, it's hard to stop. It's the last two first issues today, Factor X and X-Man. And that means back guys and whining!

One problem is that he doesn't seem like a driving force behind any big creative moves. HoX/PoX feels more tied to Hickman than anyone else. Maybe the Ultimate universe if it sticks the landing. I think it's probably more likely it will be industry stuff, and it won't be a great legacy.

It's another look at AI gone wrong...and this one's mostly our fault. @marklondon.bsky.social's anthology series delivers another great, creepy tech-gone-wrong story in Terrorbytes #4.

Fantastic Four #7 takes a break in a potentially big story for a lighter affair. @ryannorth.ca once again shows off the virtue of the extended, family oriented cast.

Dylan's character developing college trip continues in Rogue Sun #32. Meanwhile back in New Orleans, the series introduces its most creative character yet. Enter: Mr. Poe.

Amazing Spider-Man #20 brings the Goblin Slayer storyline to a head. But as much good mileage as Kelly got out of the recent Norman Osborn arc, it doesn't quite translate here.
theronreadscomics.substack.com/p/webhead-we...
It definitely feels rushed. Claremont's contribution ended somewhere in the middle of Uncanny 279. Nicieza's work is on the weaker side, though not surprising under the circumstances. And the epilogue is an obvious status quo reset for X-Men and the new Uncanny and X-Factor creative teams.

Happy New Year!
I've never read it. I have tons of these ads I post from the 80s and early 90s of stuff I've never read, but when I look them up, they sound really cool. This is definitely one of them.

X-Factor 69 was the last issue prior to Peter David taking over as the series' writer and the penultimate issue in the Muir Island Saga. The crossover saw the end of Chris Claremont's original Uncanny run. This issue is a little uneven but fun.

Jace and Jan take center stage in Space Ghost #6 in a culmination of their rich character development. @peposed.bsky.social, Lau, Dalhouse, and Esposito showcase that the series has a real trio of heroes.

Rogue Sun #31 continues the tradition of growing Dylan as a person while he is growing as a hero. Is there a chance for the character to take a big leap forward? Plus--what is the flaw-mingo?
