We are in a place where the idea of someone who learns and trains to become an expert is less trustworthy than their feelings. Where something that wasn't controversial becomes the next way to get you irrationally mad to give up anything as long as the "icky people who make me feel weird" go away.

But 10 years on, I'm in the best place I've been in my life both mentally and physically. I've learned what I find important. I've found people that I love and that love me back. And I wish everyone has that opportunity, but we are not there.

When I started going by a shorter nickname in high school cause it was less masculine. Don't let anyone tell you there aren't trans kids.

The times I would make "potions" in the shower and pray to change into a girl "just for a day to see what it would be like". The time the school contacted my parents cause I was depressed and I cried that I didn't want to grow facial hair and go through puberty.

So, this is not a thing I really do but here we are. 10 years ago today I started taking HRT and started my journey to become the person I am today. It took 23 years for things to finally click and for me to start understanding a part of myself.

1. Nosferatu - They made Nosferatu way too normal looking and like any other RomCom, poly could have solved it
