BREAKING: Moments ago at the White House this took place.

A bunch of old people praying for a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, who appears to have just blown up 100+ Iranian schoolchildren, while he hides the Epstein files, in which he appears in thousands of times.

We are a joke.

Iran school and nearby military base struck multiple times, satellite image reveals Iranian authorities say the attack, which took place on Saturday, killed 168 people.

BBC Verify has pieced together verified videos, satellite imagery and expert views after a deadly attack near a primary school in Minab, souther Iran, which suggest the area was hit more than once "by multiple simultaneous or near-simultaneous strikes".

Dear Shabana,
I notice today that you referred to me in your speech on immigration at the IPPR think tank.
You said: โ€œA party leader should not be on the beaches of France encouraging people to
make a perilous crossing on small boats.โ€
I suppose I shouldnโ€™t be surprised especially after the hateful Labour campaign in Gorton
and Denton, but this is just the latest in a string of lies peddled by a discredited Government
who intentionally fan the flames of racism and division.
When I went to Calais, I was not there to encourage people to travel to the UK. I was there
to see at first hand the suffering your Government and successive Governments have done
in demonising migrants in a pathetic bid to pander to the base instincts of Reform and the
flawed strategy of Morgan McSweeney.
As you will know, if you even bothered to research my visit instead of taking Reform talking
points, I was there to witness the brutality of families living in tents in freezing temperatures. I
filled water tanks and picked up litter.
What that visit did do is confirm my belief that if we are to smash the boat gangs and stop
the boats, we need to offer safer and managed routes for migrants to come to this country.
Showing compassion as a politician is not a crime. In fact, we need to see much more of it.
It reminded me of a young MP who in October 2015 spent three days in Lesbos helping
migrants fleeing war-torn Syria. She posted videos on X, talked about handing out water and
croissants to refugees and food parcels.
When she returned to the UK, she wrote a very moving piece in the New Statesman. She
said โ€œwe have to work with our European partners and create new, safe, and legal routes for
refugees to get to Europe. We cannot abandon them to their fate, left as prey for smugglers
whilst risking death on the seas.โ€
She said โ€œmaybe we can make ourselves feel better by saying no-one is making them get on
the boats. And again, the Home Secretary is not entirely wrong when โ€ฆ

๐Ÿšจ Donald Trump is offering a new justification for the war today, claiming the U.S. had to strike Iran because โ€œif we waited any longer โ€“ if we didnโ€™t hit within two weeks โ€“ they would have had a nuclear weapon.โ€

โ–ช๏ธU.S. intelligence assessments in recent years have consistently said Iran is not currently building a nuclear weapon, though it has expanded enrichment capacity.

โ–ช๏ธ The U.S. intelligence communityโ€™s annual threat assessments have repeatedly stated that Iranโ€™s leadership has not made the decision to build a nuclear bomb.

โ–ช๏ธ The IAEA has confirmed Iran enriched uranium to high levels (up to about 60% purity), which is not yet weapons-grade, and does not mean a bomb is imminent. Turning that material into a deliverable nuclear weapon would take additional steps and time.

โ–ช๏ธ Weapons experts agree the timeline from enriched uranium to an actual deployable nuclear weapon is far longer than two weeks โ€” about 6-9 months.

๐Ÿšจ Strikes hit militant bases in Iraqโ€™s Kurdistan region

Airstrikes reportedly targeted facilities used by armed groups in Iraqโ€™s semi-autonomous Kurdistan region early Thursday, according to Iraqi media.

โ–ช๏ธ Reports said bases and facilities in Sulaymaniyah province, in northeastern Iraq near the Iranian border, were struck in heavy overnight attacks.

โ–ช๏ธ The outlet Sabereen News posted videos showing explosions, smoke and fires rising from the targeted sites, claiming the strikes caused direct damage.

โ–ช๏ธ The groups targeted and the force responsible were not immediately confirmed. Iranโ€™s Revolutionary Guard said the 18th wave of its ongoing operation would strike targets in northern Iraq.

The area hosts Iranian Kurdish opposition groups, which reports say could be used for potential cross-border operations into Iran. The IRGC and allied Iraqi Shiite militias have claimed responsibility for strikes in this area in past days.

Middle East war threatens โ€˜marginalโ€™ progress in Gaza since ceasefire, WHO warns Humanitarian crisis โ€œstill catastrophicโ€ and supply disruptions in Middle East preventing $6 million worth of medicines from reaching Gaza, says WHO.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is "still catastrophic" and has seen only a "marginal" improvement since the ceasefire, with worse to come due to the Middle East war, senior WHO officials told reporters today.

Untrue - the Convention provides both for the possibility that protection might cease to be necessary (ie the cessation clause: refugee status ends if there's a change in circumstances) AND the possibility it might need to be long-term (ie references to facilitating citizenship of the refuge State)

Itโ€™s remarkable how convinced Keir Starmer still seems to be that the โ€œHero Voterโ€ strategy actually worked.

The election worked out for him. But that isnโ€™t the same thing.

Yet his premiership still seems built on the idea that government should be organised around appeasing those voters.

It's like when the fascist Oswald Mosley's grandson, who Palantir hired to run its UK operations, appeared on Laura Kuenssberg wearing a black T-shirt.

None of this is accidental: it's all answering the question, 'what message do I want to send?' 'Fascism to immigrants' is the message Mahmood does.

It's the Hero Voter governing strategy - placating right-wing prejudices - that has driven away the core vote.

No. Labour's core vote didn't expect the country's finances to be fixed in 2 years.

What disappointed them was the constant stream of anti-immigrant "Island of Strangers" policies, labelling civil disobedience orgs as terrorists, defending collective punishment & arresting thousands.
