Trump says US Navy sank Iran's warship off the coast of Sri Lanka because "it's more fun" to sink ships than capture them.

I see a lot of, "Trump is betraying everything that makes America great."
But maybe America isn't great. Maybe insisting on its greatness, for whatever motive, is part of the problem.
A prosperous country with uniquely terrible health coverage for ordinary people doesn't seem good let alone great.
A reminder that Nigel Farage, Kemi Badenoch and the entire Conservative-supporting press have spent the past week lambasting Keir Starmer for not joining the Iran war.
Here's what has happened since then to public opinion
That's a quote for the ages

Baby-brain nonsense to pretend this a matter of personal courage from the captains and crew, and not the straight-forward economics of prohibitively astronomical insurance costs.
Also, easy to be vicariously brave about sailing a giant floating bomb under Shaheds when you're safe in a Fox studio.
I'm told some Labour MPs are unhappy with this latest act of hostility towards trans people being blamed on Streeting. That feels silly or naΓ―ve. It's happening because Wesley kept in place in the NHS, indeed encouraged, the ideologues that Kemi Badenoch *told us* she introduced to key positions.

Dunno, folks.
If the intellectual leaders of my movement were the dumbest human beings alive, that might give me some pause regarding their claims of inherent genetic superiority over other races.
Apparently not so for our Nazi buddies, but here we are.
The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood sure has put on a showβ¦
But how much is really serious & how much is just a theatre of cruelty?
Hereβs the TRUTH about this weekβs asylum changes
youtu.be/w6Nr4ccjMlM?...
Itβs past time for Trump and Hegseth to come clean on this. They already know the truth. What they are doing now is simply refusing to accept responsibility.

Humphrey: Because they provide stability, Minister.

Trump is Russian asset. People can debate whether heβs being blackmailed, paid, or is just a useful idiot. Regardless of his motivation, he works for Putin.

Britain calls opera and ballet βhigh artβ.
But what about Welsh choirs, Eisteddfod singing, Highland dance, Irish traditional music and step dancing, English brass bands, Morris dancing, folk music, gospel choirs, street dance and musical theatre?

All are serious forms of music, singing or dance practised across the UK.
Yet opera and ballet get the prestige institutions and large subsidies, while the rest are treated as 2nd rate.
Why are imported court traditions ranked above the traditions millions actually practise?

FOR THE LOVE OF GODβ¦
Can we STOP with this βspecial relationshipβ BS
And alsoβ¦can we wake up to the treachery of our right wing press?!
"We can't last 35 more months with what we've seen over the last 13.
We cannot do it. We will not survive it as a nation."
Britain honoured Trump with a state visit during the Gaza genocide.
Now, people say a royal visit to the US should be reconsidered because of Trump's rudeness over the Iran war?
It's an odd moment to discover moral red lines.
