The Thomas Hill Standpipe in Bangor, Maine, a 1.75-million-gallon, 1897 water tower, served as the primary inspiration for the haunted Derry Standpipe in Stephen King's "It", so there's that. Although it does look like a Martian from "War of the Worlds".

Awesome ways to clear out leftovers and veggies, including clippings for broth. For me, it's usually lettuce or spinach that's uncrisping in the crisper, or tiny tomatoes wrinkling up. There are recipes for lettuce soup out there!

I could imagine someone like Alex Colville making a painting of these big fluffy flakes falling, comfortably viewed from inside the house with a big mug of cocoa.
