Damn, now I think it might be worth learning the flute, too! My sax teacher wanted me to learn it to be a full-stack (read: hireable) woodwind musician but I found flute to be uninspiring. I just didn’t think about Ian Anderson, I guess!

My 9-year-old is binging John Williams soundtracks because she just discovered how prolific he is, and she revealed that she wants to learn flute so she can play jazz and rock like Ian Anderson (of Jethro Tull fame).

Lolz I found a silly typo in a post I just published to multiple platforms for my volunteer work.

At first I briefly panicked because, by nature, I’m a perfectionist.

Then I quickly calmed down when I realized it’s evidence that an imperfect sleep-deprived human wrote it and not AI. 🥰

I thought we were going to get away with no smoke this year what with our mild weather, but no such luck.

This and the steel guitar recording footage (also from the Uru soundtrack) hit me hard when I saw it. Incredible to see it as it was being produced. Tim Larkin’s soundtrack for that game is so meaningful to me.
