I've rambled long enough to celebrate her for #InternationalWomensDay so I'll just end with this:
#Tendi, no matter where you go and end up, you'll ALWAYS be the Captain of my heart. May you continue to inspire others to follow their passions and dreams
#StarTrekLowerDecks #StarTrek60 #D'VanaTendi
As for her journey to being a future Captain (as seen in the episode 'Crisis Point 2'), there's no more fitting song than one that says #Tendi will go as far as she needs to go to become the Captain she wants to be. You go, Tendi!
#InternationalWomensDay #StarTrekLowerDecks #StarTrek60 #D'VanaTendi
#Tendi is a wonderful, sweet Orion with the personality to back it up.
As for my song choice, well... to quote a certain hero, 'Maybe that's the real punk rock'
There's no doubt in my mind that this song fits her to a T. #InternationalWomensDay #StarTrekLowerDecks #StarTrek60 #D'VanaTendi
Plus, the fact that Mariner and T'Lyn were completely okay and cool with it shows just how much of a great person #Tendi is. She may not like her past, but it doesn't stop others (and me) from loving her all the same.
#InternationalWomensDay #StarTrekLowerDecks #StarTrek60 #D'VanaTendi
As for my favourite episode, it's Season 4's 'Something Borrowed, Something Green'. As much as it was a bit hard to see #Tendi try (and fail) to deny her upbringing, seeing who she was beforehand was still fun to see.
#InternationalWomensDay #StarTrekLowerDecks #StarTrek60 #D'VanaTendi
My favourite moment from #Tendi is when she took over the Karemma ship in the Season 3 episode 'Hear All, Trust Nothing'. It was the moment that I instantly fell in love with her. Her badassery was on full display for all to see.
#InternationalWomensDay #StarTrekLowerDecks #StarTrek60 #D'VanaTendi
Beautiful, badass, absolutely wonderful and sweet, #D'VanaTendi holds up the idea that it doesn't matter where you come from. All that matters is your passion, what you believe in and how much you're willing to do to get there.
#InternationalWomensDay #Tendi #StarTrek60 #StarTrekLowerDecks
#Tendi, my beloved future Captain...
I'm so glad I resumed watching #StarTrekLowerDecks when I did, cause what I ended up with is one of the most amazing animated female characters I've ever seen.
#InternationalWomensDay #D'VanaTendi #StarTrek60
𧡠I know, I've drabbled on about #Tendi in recent weeks, but it's #InternationalWomansDay today, so I'm gonna do it again! Bite me!

Yeah. Admittedly, there are some things that aren't like the cartoon, like Chief Quimby who acts more like Colonel Nozzaire from Gadget & the Gadgetinis, and the talking Gadgetmoblie, but I found him less annoying than he was in the first film.

IMO, the sequel was better. It's as close as it can be to being faithful to the original cartoon.
Unless by some miracle Disney ACTUALLY does do a faithful live action adaption of the cartoon...
The first one is basically Disney's Robocop.
Wow, I never thought I'd be 100% on Nintendo's side on any issue, but here we are.

That would actually be a great idea. Give Luigi a reason to care about her and make the relationship more impactful.

Speaking of Daisy...
Since Peach and Rosalina are the competent girlbosses of these movies, I'd love it if they switched it up for Daisy and made her a chaotic girl-failure.
In fact, make Pauline a girl-failure too if they decide to use her for the Donkey Kong movie.
I'm surprisingly okay with that. I DO hope a 3rd movie happens so that Daisy will appear and make Luigi go all '(I Just) Died in Your Arms'.

I imagine Daisy and Wario will be saved for a 3rd movie, so that would be the perfect excuse to bring back or at least mention Tatanga and Syrup.
And if there IS a 3rd movie, we BETTER have Toadette by then. Partner her up with the now Captain-ized Toad and let them track treasure.
At the rate Mario movies are going with obscure villain pulls (Foreman Spike in the first and the 8 Bits in Galaxy), there's a decent chance we could see the likes of Tatanga and Capt. Syrup one day.
Hell, if they REALLY wanna go all in on fan service, I'd throw in some RPG villains too.
