Wasn't too bad, worst of it stayed above the trees.

Didn't grab any pics yesterday, but got in a slog of a 15th outing in beautiful sunny but cold #nlwx and slow conditions. Tonight got my 16th in windy #nlwx before the warmup. Much faster tonight, and hopefully it's not the last of the season.

I will be fighting it on the home stretch though... which is after all the hills. That's going to suck.

Lol I'm about to go skiing in 40 gust 60 cause its the only chance I get before the rain starts... I am pre-annoyed... I'm hoping it'll at least help blow me up a couple of the hills on my night route.

Are we taking soft bets on what the snow depth will be by Wednesday? I'm going wiiiiiithhhhh... 44 cm.

I feel like it probably just delays the dryness to the 2nd half of summer depending on how the spring goes. But hey, that's still half a summer right?

yeah I'm definitely more willing to stick to one or the other than I am to keep going back and fourth.

To be fair, neither standard or daylight time is perfect, I just think the benefits of standard time is better overall and that most people just like daylight time cause of nostalgia.

Hehe no offense truly meant of course. But daylight time in the winter is brutal. Sunrise after 9 am? (And I like winter). A lot of folks already get depressed in the winter, add dark dreary mornings and I don't think that would be good for anyone. Either way, just pick one, stop changing it.

Lol. Yes. You are. The science says Standard time all year round is what's best for us. I understand that it's cool to have late evenings in the summer, but it's like asking your kid what they want for supper, they say candy, and then you say, ok let's have candy!

well if some of the #nlwx guidance is correct, we're going to have significantly less snow around this time next week. The long range doesn't seem particularly winter-friendly either. If you wanted to get your last licks of winter fun in, get it done sooner than later, just in case.

Pretty annoying to think that I walked out my front door with the sun cresting the horizon this morning and that tomorrow I'll walk out in full dark again. We've listened to the stupid people long enough, we should stay on Standard time. We have smart people, we should use em.

I will give some leeway given it's hard to know where you are half the time, but if you know you've crossed the yellow lines bugger back over on your side!

Things I've noticed about #nltraffic in a storm: folks like to drive in the clear tire tracks which is fine, but the tracks are often straddling or even crossing the double yellow line. This leads me to question if folks know that the ditch is almost always a better option than a head on collision.

It's like here. You hike down to the lakeside and the snow depth is usually half than up top the hill. Sometimes there's just no snow down there at all...

I guess what you have to ask yourself is, does NZ (or any nation) verbally saying they support Trump's actions do anything? Seems to me the Iranian gov was murdering a lot of their own people recently... so as long as your country doesn't send troops, I feel like we got bigger fish to fry. Don't we?
