Here are 4 districts the TX GOP gerrymandered to gain seats in November, with the Dem and GOP primary vote. Dems outvoted GOPs in every one of them.

Senate Republicans just voted to block our War Powers Resolution & allow Trump's regime-change war of choice in Iran. Once again, they're contracting out their constitutional duties to Donald Trump, despite the will of their constituents.

Shameful.

Today, Congress was finally briefed on Trump's war of choice in Iran.

Even behind closed doors, they couldn't get their story straight.

But one thing is clear: they don't have a clue what the end game is, and it sure as hell isn't making America safer.

Wow: under the radar special election in Arkansas tonight for House District 70, a GOP-held seat in suburban Little Rock.

Democrat Alex Holladay with a huge 27-point win over Republican Bryan Renshaw.

Another red to blue flip for Democrats.

I am not going to vote to cut a blank check for ICE and let them detain, brutalize, shoot, or kill more American citizens just because Donald Trump started an unconstitutional war that no one asked for.

Warning American citizens to evacuate over a dozen countries three days into this war, when commercial flights are already shut down, demonstrates the Trump Administration’s lack of planning or coordination.

In today’s classified briefing on Iran we received ZERO information relating to (a) preplanning for anything beyond kinetic operations (b) planning for what happens when the bombing stops or (c) imminent threats to the US to warrant an attack without Congressional consent.

All the guys Hegseth put in charge are aggrieved veterans of wars that ended JUUUUST before every rogue state and decently organized militia had access to armed drones at scale. The tactics and best practices you remember are already ancient history. We were lucky. Emphasis on were.

The U.S. State Department issued a notice yesterday for Americans to evacuate more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries "via commercial means due to serious safety risks."

The catch?

Air space is closed. There are no flights leaving 10 of the 13 countries.

Screenshot of excerpt from opinion that reads:

"Despite this, the New York courts refused to stay the trial court’s order. After that highly questionable injunction was issued, the applicants filed appeals in both the Appellate Division (the State’s intermediate appellate court) and the Court of Appeals (its highest court) challenging the trial court’s order on federal constitutional grounds. At the same time, applicants asked both courts to stay the trial court’s order. The Appellate Division refused to issue a stay, and by order issued on February 11, the Court of Appeals sent the appeal filed in that court to the Appellate Division and dismissed applicants’ motions for a stay."

With nowhere else to turn, the applicants asked us to issue a stay, and we have jurisdiction to entertain their application. Title 28 U. S. C. Β§1257(a) gives us jurisdiction to review β€œ[f]inal judgments or decrees” that are rendered by a State’s highest court and adjudicate federal constitutional claims, and the Court of Appeals’ February 11 order falls
within that category.

1/9: In the New York redistricting case, Justice Alito's justification for why #SCOTUS even had *jurisdiction* to issue a stay is based upon a remarkably misleading portrayal of the state court proceedings.

I realize this is technical, but I wanted to write a short thread to explain the shadiness:

TRUMP’S IRAN WAR: we are starting a war illegally (ie without congressional approval), in order to obliterate Iran’s nuclear capability, which the White House has said it does not have any more as a result of the Trump administration’s attack on Iran last year?
In short: An illegal pretextual war.
