I’m going to keep saying it until it happens:

My writing will be the reason my house gets paid off.

My writing will be the reason why I won’t have to work a 9-5 the rest of my life.

My writing will be the reason why I can finally know how it feels to live comfortable in this lifetime.

Being a night owl sucks because as soon as the clock strikes midnight, I'm Cinderella, except instead of leaving my glass slipper, I leave subplots and twists in my manuscript, and instead of a fairy godmother, I have a gremlin in my head that tells me to rewrite my entire outline.

Normalize inconsistency in your art. Normalize not making every art piece super detailed and intricate. Normalize just creating art for the sake of it.

what if your ideas are as in love with you as you are with them?

what if your creativity spends its days dreaming about you too?

what if art is a co-creation between you (the vessel) & the eternal source of all things?

Being a perfectionist in your writing is the default setting for new writers. We all start that way. But when you’re building a house, you don’t paint it as you go. You lay a foundation, build a structure, put in the wiring & pipes, build the walls and lay the floors, THEN you can think about paint.
