I've been annoying posting a lot about hockey so here is something that hopefully makes up for it.

Again this is bullshit. They do not ignore him. There is always a guy on every powerplay that goes to the far blue line and stands there. Why? Because it keeps the defense honest. If they were ignoring him then he would get the puck every time and get breaks or partial breaks every power play.

I think the real problem is likely coaching and personal. We don't have that Kuzy or MoJo who were nearly automatic on zone entries anymore. And replacing the guy who stands at the far blueline isn't going to change jack or shit. #ALLCAPS

I asked two friends who are Jets/Avs and Wings fans how many people do they use to enter the zone on the power play and they both said like 2 maybe 3. Because that is how NHL teams all do it. So if you want Ovi off PP2 that's fine but saying he is the problem with entries is insane. #ALLCAPS

You keep moving the goalposts. You said Ovi being on the powerplay has ALWAYS been a problem. And that is complete bullshit. Is he not as good as he was before? Of course. Is he the main problem with our powerplay? Absolutely not. He is maybe 10% of the problem. The rest is entries.

People have hobbies and he certainly has the money to engage in that one.

He literally has more power play goals than anyone. It absolutely has not always been a problem. That's just 1000% wrong.

He's never been involved in the entries. It's always been like MoJo or Kuzy primarily. And we have had stellar power plays. Saying that he is somehow a problem now seems wildly inconsistent. He's not helping with the entries despite never having helped with them for ages.

Second one hit me pretty hard. Not as bad as the latest COVID booster but enough to have to take off the last few hours of work one day.

The power play is obviously trash but the five on five process and results have been solid to this point. Fourth in expected goals % and second in actual goals %. #ALLCAPS

They seem to have no clear plan when entering the zone.

At a minimum he makes it 4 on 3. That guy stapled to him isn't doing much. And the problem with the power play is entries. Half the time we can't get setup. And if you need five guys to enter the zone you are a peewee team. No serious team uses more than like three guys.
