Artemis is definitely not a Gideon clone though. There's some Karlach overlap maybe (again, Artemis existed long before we ever met Karlach, but Karlach does keep reminding me of her). But again, golden retriever energy tropes. 😁

We have a snarky (not raunchy) golden retriever butch in a cyberpunk series we've been working on since before either of us knew Gideon existed and long before I ever read the books. (I only *just* read them a few months ago! I really didn't think they were going to be my thing.)

Gotcha! Yeah, the red hair kinda makes it just a bit on the nose. I like a snarky golden retriever butch though. Have since long before Gideon was a thing. 😁 I totally get being tired of it if it is that blatant of a ripoff though.

(Not being aggressive with the ask, btw. Just genuinely want to know. :) Since Gideon really isn't all that unique and is a bunch of tropes herself.)

Out of curiosity, what part of the trope do you consider "Temu Gideon?"

A friend of ours shared this poem from tumblr. First off, I love it. But also, it resonates so hard with Anne and Ghost from our Riven Goddess series. Ghost: "If you can't find it, it's something you make" Anne: "Hope is a shield and a thing to defend."

Oof. It's been a week. Being a caregiver for a loved one with dementia is a challenge (but a worthy one). Got a little writing done, a fair bit of plotting, and worked on the map for the Riven Goddess series. Not a lot, but it's something!
