Top Democrats Smear Palestinian-American Politician for Criticizing Zionism Virginia Delegate Sam Rasoul, whose family was displaced by Israel, wrote about the ‘evils’ of Zionism, prompting a flurry of attacks from Tim Kaine, Abigail Spanberger, and other party colleagues.

He now says Zionism, the idea that Jews deserve a safe homeland, is the ideology that “produced this evil” & calls anyone who criticizes him a “genocide denier.”

🧵1/ You can criticize Israeli policy without vilifying Jewish identity.

But calling a core part of Jewish identity a supremacist plot, and dismissing Jewish fear as strategy? That crosses a line.

Because if we don’t push back on this now, we’re normalizing it for the next generation.

“Zionism has proven how evil our society can be,” Rasoul wrote in a July 26 Instagram post that described Zionism as a “supremacist ideology created to destroy and conquer everything and everyone in its way.”
