There's a company called 8BitMods that makes memory cards with SD slots that are compatible with the PS2 and GCN. You can be fancy with them but I'm mostly just using them to retrieve data.

I've managed to back up all my old PS2 saves off the memory cards! 🙂 Just need to track down my PS1 memory card and that's all my childhood games backed up!

Just remembered the whole Forgotten City sequence for FF7 Rebirth and wish I could play that for the first time again. I know people were mixed on that whole sequence through the ending but I loved every second of it.
