BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.

This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.

NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya will take over leadership of CDC temporarily The transition is the latest in a monthslong series of leadership shake-ups across federal health agencies.

NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya is now also the temporary head of the CDC, a role in which he is expected to continue to do nothing but appear on right-wing podcasts and further cement the complete lack of respect of his colleagues.

It is beyond insulting for @aaas.org to plan to host Brian Greene, an associate of Jeffrey Epstein, for a plenary talk at #AAAS2026, then cancel it the day before, only for the replacement to insist Greene was a โ€œgood scientistโ€ and that he wished we could all hear from him.

A Secret Panel to Question Climate Science Was Unlawful, Judge Rules

"A federal judge on Friday ruled the Energy Department violated the law when Secretary Chris Wright handpicked five researchers who reject the scientific consensus on climate change to work in secret on a sweeping government report on global warming."

Becca Blyn and I co-wrote a piece for Science Policy in a SNAP (the @snapcoalition.bsky.social awesome blog on Medium). Medium only lets you have 1 โ€œauthorโ€ which is silly.

Becca and I hope you enjoy, reflect on today, and learn something new!

Iโ€™m sharing this video again because people donโ€™t really get what these data centers and ai are doing to our planet and our communities. Especially Black communities because they were strategically placed there.

I need you to listen to these people.

Drawdownยฎ Explorer We know what we need to do: stop climate change as quickly as possible. Now, with the Drawdown Explorer, we know how to do it.

Many people feel overwhelmed with the number of potential climate solutions, and are not quite sure what to focus on.

@projectdrawdown.bsky.social has always been at helping people navigate the minefield.

Their new explorer is really cool, and helps to make things clearer: drawdown.org/explorer
