Thankyou Laura, I'm feeling a lot less panicked now we've had someone out but I was a mess yesterday- time will definitely tell damage-wise but I'm just grateful we're insured just in case!

Thankyouu, to be fair I did know where the tap was but it was siezed! Fortunately the neighbour found the failsafe and explained it to me for future 😅 Definitely not gonna sleep well for a while but I'm incredibly thankful I was at least at home

I am glad we caught it (relatively) early, and the damage is on one side of the house, but good lord, running to the neighbours to help when home alone and seeing water run down the downstairs walls is not something I ever want to experience again

I thought I was coping well with life, then a pipe decided to burst at 11am this morning and flood my house

To be fair, the break has been nice in a way as I've had more time for IRL stuff, but its so odd being at Alton Towers and not buzzing with excitement- nice to hear you can relate, hope you're well

I feel bad, I had such a scary time on Toxicator that I hit the little ':(' face on the 'How was your ride on Toxicator?' panel as you come off- can someone hit the smiley face twice for me? 😶

Mental illness is a bitch. Since opening day last year, I haven't felt much of anything theme-park wise. I definitely have my moments and love going to parks with friends, but I feel like I've lost my spark since the old Nemesis closed & life kicked my butt. Lets hope the Nemmy track walk fixes me!

Toxicator- wow!! I have genuinely never been so afraid on a ride before (I am NOT a flat ride girlie). I'm pretty sure I blacked out at one point and had no bodily control, just shakinging in my seat!!!
A one-and-done for me, but so amazing to see a Top Spin back at Alton Towers!

I still have a long way to go until I'm in tip-top shape, and struggle badly with getting regular exercise in, but I'm so damn proud that this past few months of hard work has paid off. I legitimately had to quit biscuits cold-turkey (from eating half a pack a day) and still have cravings, but hey!😂

Some of you may know that back in June, I found out I was pre-diabetic and well on my way to Type 2 Diabetes, mostly caused by medication and a crap relationship with food.
In under 6 months of giving up comfort food, learning to get over food phobias and looking after me,I'm no longer pre diabetic!
