I have lost the key to cabinet I keep my Steamdeck in so I am 3 days into extreme Silksong withdrawal, meaning I’m much chiller, thumbs aren’t cramping in agony, and I’m using on average 85% less profanity.

Put a gun to my head and I couldn’t give you a compelling Batman pitch I’d want to write BUT can I interest you in a miniseries about one of his lesser-known villain’s called “Bookworm” whose superpower is he’s a nerd, who finds the Necronomicon in a vault beneath Gotham City?

My kid demanded a “Spooky Puppet Show” for bedtime so I’m sending Grover and Elmo into the House of Leaves. Your wish is my command, little man!

Read the original pitch of this project a ways back and every single page made say “woah” out loud. Absolute banger.

My serious pitch for a big budget Warhammer 40K movie isn’t to try and do it “in universe” but as a high stakes political thriller set it in a near-future where ALL global conflict is resolved by nations fielding 20,000 point miniature armies and having it out.

It’s the best, my personal “summer of 69” nostalgia game (I was bedridden with pneumonia for weeks and weeks right when it dropped.)

Gonna pitch a Silksong licensed comics where you start reading and it’s great and then slowly the pages get progressively harder and harder to turn and you’re struggling and then a guy in a paper mache big costume just shows up and tries to keep you from reading it.

I’ve already beaten all the Silksong bosses that are getting nerfed via patch. I’ll continue to sit at the big boy table at the Real Gamers Bar.

Heading to the airport to fly to a comic con and I’m very excited for 10 uninterrupted hours in the sky to get some work done. 👌

This is so videogame-y I demand that someone find a bigger shotgun soon. Then a chain gun. Then a rocket launcher. Cyborg guy skipped ahead and got the energy weapon early in a secret area.

Taking a personal day to spend with my kid. 10 min chatting with other dads on this playground and I’ve got one reconsidering Predator 2 and saying he’ll watch it tonight. Still got it!

After 30 plus years of typing on a computer daily I only just noticed which fingers I use on a keyboard:

I haven’t read any Marvel Aliens stuff but are they doing the Aliens 3 thing where a Xenomorph inherits certain genetic traits from the organism it chest burst from?

Wolverine’s healing factor alone means he could survive multiple birthing cycles. Healing factor aliens? Game over man.

I did last year. Sales-wise a little slow (I only had like 2 books tho). It’s decent sized and good “comics to not-comics stuff” ratio.

So, I was laid off by my job this week after 13 years.

Not only that, but it happened as bills from my recent heart attack-related medical visits come due.

Aside from that it was mostly really great

They don’t have to make do? They have unprecedented access to all the original films, comics, even the ancient radio dramas if they want to. They just have less chance of discovering / engaging it in a meaningful way because every single interaction with culture must be monetized to the max now.

Who are all these dweebs who want to go through life with an unruined childhood? Does St. Peter just wave you through the Pearly Gates if you stroll up to him with your head in your ass?

Sorry if your childhood is a Tutorial Boss. Most normal people are on Malenia, Blade of Miquella phase two without even trying.
