I do understand when there are so many referrals each day, that some criteria has to be made, however this often doesnβt include those with autism as so much of the evidence base does not reflect those with Autism. More research in this area would be so beneficial to aid pathways in MH teams

When I worked within a mental health team, it was very much felt that those with Autism were often labelled as their difficulties as βjust autismβ even if those difficulties were highly effecting functioning
