One of the most fun things I’ve done recently is start a running list of references in books that I didn’t get & had to look up for example a book quoted a Shakespeare play, but I didn’t know so I had to look it up find out which it was from and I just feel like that’s such an exciting list to keep

Um I kept that bird alive for 2 nights and she died the third day so that was traumatic

So in order to keep her from getting eaten I was gonna put her in the garage but it’s actually a thousand degrees out there so now she’s sitting in the box on another box under a garbage can in my screen room

Here she is after being fed 5 beetles with a tweezer (Nick is very upset that I used his favorite tweezer) I found the bugs around my front porch and killed them bc moving bugs was too much for me

once it was evening I tried to put the bird and the box into the tree but the whole thing fell out of the tree so I then I found her on the ground and fed her 5 bugs that I killed and was trying to figure out how to not get her eaten by a raccoon

I found a baby bird on my front lawn this morning and was super scared for it and everything on the internet said the parent is probably watching but it didn’t really look like it so I gave the baby some water (bc it’s so fucking hot out) and a box and it slept under the box for the whole day

the woman confirmed I needed a democrat ballot, I went in with my cute little voter guide magazine that NYC sends out and ranked my peeps, and then got into the car and the massive bracelet I wear daily and never take off FELL OFF. just popped right off my arm. These people are sketchy

I am pretty superstitious and am always wearing red to ward off the evil eye AND TODAY after voting, my red bracelet that has a lobster claw clasp FELL OFF out of no where. It isn’t broken or anything, it just fell the fuck off and that has never happened before so I would like to say fuck that

I understand that I’m not a fun person to talk politics with because my politics are wrapped up in my morals and values so I take everything you say very personally and very literally and for some reason, when discussing politics, people don’t like that

A fun thing about living on Staten Island is that it’s technically still an island so you get to hear the fog horns of ships as they make their way through the waters around you.
A not fun thing is that there are exactly 4 ways off the island and every single one is constantly full of traffic.
