Bad news for some in the mojo world. Many mics need this cable to work with iPhones. Apple’s adapter is reliable when 3rd party ones aren’t.
I did some training last year and everything worked for one guy except the dodgy non-Apple white cable - so *nothing* worked.

For the frankly bewildering number of new followers, here’s the kind of thing I bang on about as part of my job.
Notice the rapidly flashing lights here? Look top left - they flash at 30 & 60 frames per second but not 25fps.
Using the right fps leads to better video. (Shutter speed comes into it…)

Tip for radio producers: if you're not making full use of iPhone wide spectrum audio - why not!?
It's the best way to hear background atmosphere if a guest is on location, without the need for fancy kit. (example below)

Journalists - make clippings of everything you do every week.

I'm trying to find some of my old radio broadcasts and it's incredible how short-lived stuff is on the internet. Data protection policy means emails are auto-deleted; links are broken or the audio is no longer online to save storage.
