The embodied carbon here was put into atmosphere when this structure was built.
This application breaches London Plan section H8 c and Southwark Plan policies on sustainability and net zero.
That is not a carbon saving.
Here is RDD's position:
'This application claims this building is unviable without providing evidence.
It also fails to add the total embodied carbon in the existing building to that of demolition and rebuilding, and ignores the benefits of retrofitting.

They've done it again.
Tonight, Southwark Planning Committee approved phase 2B of the Ayelsbury Estate demolition scheme: to destroy Wendover House, despite admitting the application by Notting Hill Genesis breaches the London Plan and the Southwark Plan.
Residents put up a fight, but
