I tried out a destroyer, designed to hunt fighters. Managed to defeat 4 fighters and an enemy destroyer before something hit me from behind setting fires all along my ship. I escaped just for a bit of emergency repair. The shader dents your ship and makes bits glow when damaged.

            #DeepestBlue testing all day. Went to a system I had never been to. 1 sector was close to a giant star that was so big it dazzled the whole screen and gave my plot routine problems. Added a maximum display size.

            #DeepestBlue  map screen lets you see what is in known sectors. You can zoom out to system level or galaxy level, You can use it to set a destination for the current ship.

            #DeepestBlue Here is an example of an in game nebula. It has a couple of layers that swirl slowly. The shader picks off RGB layers from an input image and plays with them changing scale colour, relative rotation etc  then recombines. So it can get many effects.

            Ive been adding a cloud shader to Deepest Blue. I wrote my own  editor so it is easy to use my data and models. It can compile, show errors but has no debug. I am used to writing a shader, commented  out  most of the lines then  adding back each line sending the output to the colour to check range.

            Finally got round to opening my BlueSky account.  I am Steve Turner author of Avalon, Dragontorc, Quazatron Ranarama and many more.
