appears to have been a degen, but this is the new norm: large anomalous trades are made on world events, creating speculation about whether it’s intel or speculation, which could in theory influence whether officials do act or not, if it is insidered. impossible to distinguish signal from noise

Chatbots Make Terrible Doctors, New Study Finds Chatbots provided incorrect, conflicting medical advice, researchers found: β€œDespite all the hype, AI just isn't ready to take on the role of the physician.”

β€œIn an extreme case, two users sent very similar messages describing symptoms of a subarachnoid hemorrhage but were given opposite advice,” the study’s authors wrote. β€œOne user was told to lie down in a dark room, and the other user was given the correct recommendation to seek emergency care.”

Twin Cities tow truck driver returns abandoned vehicles to families after ICE arrests Juan Leon sends a "chase" car to check out where abandoned vehicles are located and arranges discreet drop-offs. Since late December, he estimated they have dropped off 250 cars.

"Seeing there was a need for someone to help out, help clear the streets and get the people back their vehicles. So we stepped up and started doing it," Leon said.

While reporting this, I had something happen that's never happened. A comms rep for one of the co's disputed my reporting and said what I was telling them was untrue because it was not in Grok, xAI's chatbot.

I was looking directly at the files. And this person was using AI to challenge the truth.

The owner, in a note to readers, wrote that he aimed to boost trust in The Post. The effect was something else entirely: Subscribers lost trust in his stewardship and, notwithstanding the newsroom’s stellar journalism, The Post overall. Similarly, many leading journalists at The Post lost confidence in Bezos, and jumped to other news organizations. They also, in effect, were driven away. Bezos’s sickening efforts to curry favor with President Trump have left an especially ugly stain of their own. This is a case study in near-instant, self-inflicted brand destruction.

β€˜We’re going to disrupt this country’: Pardoned anti-abortion activists plot mass clinic protests A group of longtime abortion opponents, emboldened by Trump's pardons, regrouped in Washington to plan a new wave of demonstrations at abortion clinics.

As I just reported for @ms.now yesterday, they were charged w/ blocking entrances to abortion clinics, harassing & injuring staff & livestreaming some of it.

Trump freed them from federal prison; 3 have been re-arrested since.

Now, the DOJ is using the same law to go after a journalist.

AI chatbots upended their lives. Now they're finding support from each other Talking to AI bots can lead to unhealthy emotional attachments or even breaks with reality. Some people affected by chatbot interactions or those of a loved one are turning to one other for support.

I've spent a lot of time lately talking to people dealing with fallout from AI chatbots. One thing I've learned is that many of us are profoundly lonely and seeking connection - and that's both how people ended up in this story, and how they're finding their way out.
