If there aren't enough reasons yet to dislike AI: Thanks to this shit, the prices of RAM literally tripled within the last month or two... I'm so waiting for this bubble to burst and all the AI companies go down in flames.

What if you enjoy writing code more than writing very detailed natural language describing what you intend your code to do, and than having to review what's basically code from a very junior intern that's not human? :p

People have higher expectations on fulltext search on websites? Mine is usually that it sucks, because the ONLY sites that come to my mind where it doesn't suck are reddit (you can even use boolean ops and parentheses there!) and to some extent Google...

I think this perfectly summarizes it: If I WANT to put in long hours occasionally, either for my own stuff or even for work because I'm highly motivated, then that's fine. If someone else asked/expected me to do that, maybe even without proper compensation, then they could kindly go and fuck off.

Not sure if they use attestations (probably not), but one of the worst offenders there is PayPal. It plain and simply refuses to let you set up a Passkey from a desktop device. Combined with only allowing a single Webauthn token it makes the whole UX really awful (if you have multible hw tokens)...

And then there are companies like Amazon who still do not have a single auth domain, so if you use e.g. both amazon.de and amazon.fr, you end up having to create two passkeys. Plus the inconvenience that it STILL requires your OTP afterwards...

I'm against people making money with this crap. AI music has no place on Spotify, YouTube, etc; AI art does not belong on Deviantart and similar sites.

OTOH, I think for PERSONAL usage, it can be nice. Artwork for D&D NPCs, custom boss fight theme music, etc.

If it was about genAI and more specifically AI "art" (and those jokers who call themselves "artists" because they can write prompts) I'd understand it - many earlier bsky adopters come from the more creative side of Instagram and Twitter, and generally real artists passionately dislike AI "art"...

Dir ist aber schon klar, dass "Enteignen" hier "Zwangsverkauf zu marktüblichen Konditionen" bedeutet? Das wäre also in erster Linie ein dicker Cash-Out für die Shareholder dieser Konzerne - aus Steuergeldern finanziert. Und die Mieten würden danach eher hoch bleiben, das Geld muss ja wieder rein.
