St. Louis settles federal lawsuit over poor conditions at Workhouse jail for $4M More than 16,000 people who were detained at the jail between 2012 and 2022 are eligible to receive payment after a federal court recently issued preliminary approval.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

The City is bringing approximately 1,000 shelter beds online in anticipation of the severe winter weather. Shelters will be open around the clock until Monday morning.
