Nah this is a good take! This should not be an extreme take, this is just necessary for society to continue as we adapt to climate change.

Maybe try INVESTING more in that community that you are depriving of junior level jobs? Host workshops at local schools. Train these kids so they have AI handling knowledge and can compete. Don't just sit there with your pockets turned inside out.

I was insulted that they even asked this. Don't they know? Don't they have a plan? No, they don't.

Think of it this way: as a company invests more in AI, they also de-invest in their own community. There is a societal cost to using AI due to workforce reduction and it should be on them to solve it

The industry leaders speaking at a AI-focused event I just attended posed a question they can't solve to the audience: as AI reduces the workforce and asks for higher skill sets for employees, how is the younger generation not left behind?

They have no idea what to do here and that's terrifying.

The plagiarism problem doesn't even factor into half the stuff that is now mislabeled as "AI". So I guess my thesis is don't let the phrase do more than annoy you. There is useful stuff to gain here.

Even for GenAI, if I could train one on ONLY my own art, I would feel comfortable trying that!

What would REALLY help is if we stopped calling 1,000 different things "AI". Tools and filters that we have all used for decades are now being called "AI" instead of "a tool". It's so annoying. It drives me crazy.

Someone at a TED talk made the point that if we let all these "democratize art" soulless techbros control the infancy of AI, instead of including ourselves, then yeah it's gonna be a bad time. Make AI be useful. Don't stick your head in the sand.

We all hate genAI here, but we need to be careful not to act like stubborn airbrush artists hearing about Thomas Knoll's new "photoshop" in 1990.

As creatives, we should fight off AI slop but also fight to define "AI" as a tool. Just like Photoshop ended up being for those angry airbrushers.

Also I will never forget Dinobot saying "From now on I shoot my dinner salad before I eat it!" Like Bro, you eat? And furthermore bro, you eat SALADS? I know he isn't a real carnivorous dinosaur but this always made me laugh.

I've always admired how well BW balanced the serialized plot and character arcs, which are sometimes kind of heavy, with all the slapstick goofiness. It was a fantastic blend of both.

Want an embarrassing fact? Despite her whole deal being that her skin can glow and change color I haven't really drawn her DOING that other than slapping a cheap outer glow on a hand here and there. I'll change that soon.

At some point some a tiny object dinks off their ship's reflector shields and it turns out to be Captain Olimar in The Dolphin. This event causes Pikmin 5.

I want Nintendo to make a sprawling sci fi space epic that weaves in Star Fox, Metroid, and F-Zero. They have so many space mercenaries/bounty hunters and never let them hang out other than silly tongue in cheek references.

It's a seriously awesome film. You can feel it jump from kids stuff to adults/all ages right as Megatron yells "No, I want to KILL HIM!" I am hoping hard more of this is on the way.
