finally got around to graphene, it's nice

had very low expectations going into nioh 3 but i didn't expect it to be this...wrong, feeling.. took me about 10 minutes to develop open world fatigue, game runs way worse than 2..aping way too many elden ring mechanics, but ninja stance is quite fun

my dad just bruteforces everything. he was telling me about splitting his hand open with a razor at work and instead of stitches he just superglued it and taped it back together and it's "fine". i've seen him disconnect his own IVs and walk out of hospital rooms so many times.

then they're stuck on cinnamon with no real wayland support and just get mad when their combination of an old lts kernel + old drivers + x11 session lead to things like vrr not working.

i feel like the advice people give is rooted 10 years in the past. there's functionally no difference between distros or installing them, but people keep recommending distros like mint to people with brand new hardware. a win11 escapee isn't going to even understand what a two year old kernel is.

i think you can probably blame like 90% of linux's bad pr on the gnome foundation, linux mint and nvidia. gnome especially.
