I'll agree with this. Johnny Mundo was maybe the best work he ever did.

10.03.2026 14:29 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Miro jobbing in three minutes to the guy they actually want to push as a monster is very, very funny. Hope you're enjoying all that ring time, bud!
10.03.2026 14:15 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Though now I'm imagining Rude jobbing to the Butcher to put him over before Starrcade. Repulsive.
10.03.2026 14:07 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It would have been a dogshit utilization of a guy the caliber of Rude, but mechanically, the matches probably wouldn't have been bad--consider something like Hogan/Rude vs. Flair/Anderson, or maybe Hogan/Rude/Sting vs. Flair/Anderson/Vader. Not ideal, but could have been worse.
10.03.2026 14:07 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Though the prospect of him getting little-buddied by Hogan as a face hanger-on is funny to contemplate.
10.03.2026 14:02 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I wouldn't say he ever turned face, but he was laying the groundwork for a feud with Vader right before he went and got hurt working with Sting in Japan. I think he had a lot more opportunity to excel as a face in the absence of Hogan, certainly.
10.03.2026 14:01 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I don't dislike Johnny TV on balance, but he and Dalton Castle put on one of the worst Fights Without Honor in recent memory and, while he may have been very flashy a couple of decades ago, his athleticism isn't that standout in 2026 AEW. Not sure what more I'd like him to be doing.
10.03.2026 13:55 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0You think the head of Instagram is asking the user base if they did that, though, or would he be using the internal analytics he has access to? My point is Musk is a moron.
10.03.2026 13:48 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0For now, yeah, but they could probably roll a lot of that functionality into MyAEW and geoblock certain things for North America as needed. Not sure what their long-term roadmap is.

10.03.2026 00:56 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It's a little more complicated than that. ROH Tag Champion MJF was doing an 80s face pastiche. AEW Men's World Champ MJF was MJF. It made sense because he'd occasionally work multiple times a show, so it made sense to switch it up.
10.03.2026 00:46 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0This sounds so fucking good.
10.03.2026 00:41 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The quote-skeets going "look at this dogshit" and the quote-skeets calling it great comedy illustrate the difference very clearly between the two fan bases.
10.03.2026 00:36 — 👍 18 🔁 1 💬 4 📌 0It was odd if you assumed the outcome was supposed to be the hero fighting from underneath to get revenge, but it was great from the standpoint of putting an early feather in the cap of the guy who's their world champ six years on. I think that win gave him early credibility.

THAT'S TOO DAMN BAD, WE WERE HERE WHEN THE DEEP MAGIC WAS WRITTEN, ENJOY YOUR SUBSCRIPTION TO AEW, DORK.
The fact that they were already booking Max as a heel in every context other than Cody took some of the weight out of his betrayal of Cody, but the ten lashes and the Wardlow cage match were great. I also think MJF winning the blowoff helped make MJF.
