Shida in particular seems to have a ton of shit going on outside AEW between her streaming side gig and her MAKAI production in Japan, so when folks say stuff like this, it generally shows ignorance as to what they may have going on beyond AEW that may be keeping them out of the ring.

Physically, I suspect he would have worn another mask under the helmet--he wore a mask as the short-lived "Super Shockmaster." Legally, maybe the sparkliness was transformative enough they could have gotten away with it?

I frankly agree. It was a great debut for a completely different audience than the one he was in front of. Might have also helped if it was used to kick off a feud or something rather than as a standalone.

Yeah, the character was fucked the moment he tripped. We'll never know if the character could have had success if the debut had carried off without a hitch, though I certainly have my suspicions about how Main Event Tugboat would go.
