I’ve been using an Avermedia Live Streamer CAM 313 for at least 5 years and it’s been decent for an inexpensive 1080/30 webcam. It’s not amazing but it’s been reliable and the picture is nice enough for calls or basic videos.

I don’t care how cliché it is, I have always loved the combination of cyan, magenta, and black. It’s just so pleasing on my eyes. Well, mostly. Some of those CGA games were blinding with large blocks of pure magenta or teal. At least the screens were small.

As we head into November, I’m wondering how to celebrate my HRT anniversary this year. This makes 12 years and I’m so proud of making it this far. I didn’t do a comparison photo last year but it’s been a wild ride and it saved my life by coming out.

One of my favourite games for its art was Natural Selection. I didn’t get into the game but the art was delightful. Similarly, I loved the art of Alpha Centauri and Civilization: Beyond Earth for their bug like alien life forms. I love overgrown organisms like that

I recently got my first vertical mouse and it has helped alleviate wrist and forearm pain. I still take breaks to stretch and relax my arms but it has helped. I had been using ultralight mice for years and it’s even more comfortable than those ever were.

Time is so strange to process so often. Like, it feels so recently that I signed up for Steam for Half-Life 2 and in just a few weeks that will have been 21 years ago. There's also the realization that I was in high school at that time too which does feel like a lifetime ago.

Apropos of my recent post, one more change between ultra wide and going to 4K is that despite being significantly more demanding performance wise, stability in all of my Fallout games is also significantly better. Far fewer crashes in FO4 in particular.

I was so tired after lunch I curled up on bed and fell asleep cuddling the cat. We both enjoyed the rest.

ParaNorman is one of my favorite spooky month movies. Just watched it again with my cutiebutts and reaffirmed my love of the movie. They hadn't seen it before so it was fun getting their reactions to it too.
