I deeply hate that so many people say βbeautiful β when what they mean is βmake me feel like 18th-century aristocracyβ.
29.09.2025 15:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's nothing like retrenching the last few lines of your knitting pattern when you realize that you are about to lose your game of yarn chicken, aka "I totally have enough to finish this, no problem -- oh shit, problem."

One blackberry pie, to be served tomorrow on the occasion of my friendβs birthday. :)

28.09.2025 02:10 β π 18 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1This is honestly one of the big reasons I didn't ever want an IUD, even though in theory it would have been more convenient. When they won't give you pain meds for a uterine or cervical biopsy, the experience puts you off doing much else in that area.

26.09.2025 13:56 β π 133 π 53 π¬ 0 π 0YES. If I'm doing a historical recipe, I'll absolutely use the sources of pectin that you can get. But why on earth would I do that in a modern recipe? When that's not any guarantee of success, frankly? Cornstarch, flour, tapioca powder -- any of these are reasonable choices for a modern kitchen.
25.09.2025 18:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am over pie recipes that need a thickener added suggesting that instead of using a reasonable ingredient for the purpose, you use an apple core for the pectin. Friends, I am not a tradwife, and I do not have an interest in "naturally sourced pectin." Get with the 21st century, people.
25.09.2025 16:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I like #2 (upper right) the best. It doesn't lose the roses in the color, and it has room for title text and such.
25.09.2025 15:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So I can tell that Fall is officially here because three of the four tires on my car were low when I went to drive in to work this morning. Yay?

25.09.2025 14:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Teachers in Oklahoma are seriously some of the most put-upon people in education. They do not deserve to deal with this man.
25.09.2025 14:42 β π 30 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0I am happy he's resigning, but at the same time, it's not like the teacher's unions in Oklahoma have a lot of power to start with. I dunno. I'm just... wishing he would go find someone else to bother, I guess.
25.09.2025 14:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I am so, so angry at this... clown-shoes show being put on. I knew I would be, but it's just beyond all comprehension. I cannot even with the entire fiction being woven here.
