However, I read this tome literally in the last century, so a re-read is in order ๐๏ธ๐๐
Very nice, on both accounts ๐๐

Seconded, saves you from a ton of trouble along the road, especially if you go for a thin needle one.

Does anyone have this set, or at the least the Short Stirling Mk1 MacRoberts Reply section. Happy to pay. For context MacRobert Trust land is all around me, and this really is a model I should be building.

Feeling no pressure! Ha!
Seriously though, I really enjoyed the previous ones, and a very convivial, supportive atmosphere.
Anyone wondering about joining #HeaviesGB with @jaaaagirr.bsky.social's lead, come on in, the water's lovely (and you'll reduce the focus on me)! #histscalemodels
This year's holiday book is one I read decades before, but it's time to have a go at it again.
846 pages which obviously can't go into depth, some superseded by more recent research, the anglo american viewpoint evident, but still.... A great read by a very skilled history author.

Fantastic to have a real GB veteran on board, very welcome James.
Nobody took the Condor yet, iconic it was indeed ๐
Welcome, and welcome ๐ค

Well I'll be in situ of Operation Avalanche once again, literally on the landing beaches with few bunkers still standing.
Where are you heading, Narvik? ๐คฃ
Should be arriving at the โฑ๏ธ at this time tomorrow, obligatory book on sunbed shot incoming ๐

02.08.2025 07:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I did the Zvezda Pe-8 in 1/72.
Decent kit with a fair price, you just need to get some aftermarket decals like from a Pe-2 or a Do-17.
That is a great idea and a fantastic kit btw.
So good in fact, I did two of them ๐คฃ
This is in the post for #HeaviesGB it's got plenty of brittle bits, no doubt plenty of swearing and searching for bits that decide to go elsewhere. #histscalemodels #scalemodels
