Paul Dolan capitalism is buying something people already enjoy and don’t need him involved in, sucking money out of it for decades at the expense of the product quality, and then selling it at an enormous profit.

Five Guardians who I think will be way better performers this year than most fans might think, ranked.

Steven Kwan has won the World Series for the 2025 Cleveland Guardians.

The Guardians are underdogs once again this season.

Seems like they perform best when they’re considered underdogs so I look forward to another division title.

On a scale of one to ten, my enthusiasm for the following Guardians prospects who are likely to debut this year:

Bazzana - 10
DeLauter - 9
Messick - 7
Brito - 5

I am deeply disappointed that the Guardians chose to clear payroll coming off an ALCS berth.

I swear I’ve blocked 20+ people over on the other app in the past week alone for yelling “Bring back the INDIANS”

Zero issues with that kind of lunacy on Bluesky. What a breath of fresh air.

Next month there will be a meaningless baseball game that wont be televised and I’ll have to listen to it get called on an audio-only broadcast and I could not be more excited.

The one thing I’ll regret most about this offseason is the Guardians missing out on Walker Buehler.

Sometimes I think about how John Sherman was supposed to eventually take over as the Guardians owner, but Dolan wouldn’t turn over control fast enough so he went and bought the Royals instead and spent a metric ton of money on them last offseason.

I wouldn’t have wanted Profar on this deal tbh but the big conundrum here is that every free agent who wants a two year deal or longer is “out of Cleveland’s price range”

According to fWAR projections, the Guardians have improved their 2025 estimated win total by a full win with their moves this offseason.

Josh Naylor put up a .776 OPS last season

Carlos Santana put up a .934 OPS last season vs. LHP.

During his second stint in Cleveland last season, Kyle Manzardo put up a .869 OPS vs. RHP

David Fry put up a .804 OPS last season

We are actually better off in 2025, why y'all mad?

Josh Naylor and Andres Gimenez could not take a walk to save their lives in the postseason.

The AL Central division race is going to be between the Guardians and Twins again this year and none of the other teams have a realistic shot at 1st place.

I think he can be better

I don’t know that the Guardians are genuinely planning on trading Josh Naylor, but considering the logjam at 1B/DH, I wouldn’t mind it one bit.

He’s also shown that he presses in big moments and can’t resist chasing. Fun guy, but huge part of the reason we lost the ALCS.

This isn’t based off any inside info or anything, just a belief that they can’t possibly be done yet.

For what it’s worth, I fully expect the Guardians to make another trade.

I expect that trade to be for an established pitcher.

Josh Hartle, one of the pieces in last night’s Spencer Horwitz-Luis Ortiz trade, was projected as a first-round pick before a tough senior showing tanked his draft status.

My guess is that the Guardians had their eye on him and felt they missed out when the Pirates snatched him in the third round.

Andres Gimenez was my favorite player.

The more I look at Parker Messick tape the more I see a world of strikeout potential if he can add just a little more velo.

MLB dot com’s depth chart currently has the Guardians’ rotation listed as just three pitchers 😭

Feels like re-signing Boyd was the one thing the Guardians really needed to do this offseason, and them letting him go somewhere else for $15M/year is just kinda deflating.

He looked awfully good in September too, hopefully that’s just who he is now?

For what it’s worth it’s also a platform year for him so there’s extra motivation.
