a row of plants growing in recycled cans: komatsuna, arugula, dill, lemon balm, basil
a container full of pet bottles growing carrots
a 2L pet bottles on its side with radishes growing out of it
for the past few months iโve been building and growing a little trash garden. i figure iโm gonna start sharing plant updates since itโs been pretty rewarding

15.10.2025 15:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Tweet from Roy Blakely (aka @Kotowari) saying โhappy spooky october! here is my new fav music video by a korean girl band with a nod zombie apocalypse going onโ. Included is a YouTube link to the Twice music video for Like Ooh Ahh.
Itโs been 8 years since @kotowari.bsky.social posted this tweet and forever changed the trajectory of my life (and no, Iโm not exaggerating).

Right back at you, birthday buddy! Hope you have a good one
I feel ya, something like a Valheim approach to Monster Hunter would be very interesting. More of a sandbox gear progression rather than the on rails story of fighting the guy on the cover. It should be worth a try at least. Capcom sometimes swings wide and thatโs refreshing (seems like Exo is that)
11.08.2025 11:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I have seen the team try to evolve based on player feedback and that is not easy to do with such a massive game like this. And there is a LOT of feedback.
So, Iโd say yea good game just some troubles they are trying to figure out. You will absolutely get your moneyโs worth just be a little baffled
that said I think it has one of the better stories. Itโs not Shakespeare but it at least is more than the typical โwe must heal nature by killing natureโ trope. A good cast of characters helps a lot.
11.08.2025 05:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It goes without saying that menus are a nightmare. Online play resembling what a modern gamer is used to requires opting into 2-3 different party settings that are not really explained well.
11.08.2025 05:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0MH is at its best when there is some kind of fair friction preventing you from getting the bobble you want. You talk to other hunters, lurk on boards, find out what works and try it. This feels good but there is almost no need to do this now save for timed challenge quests
11.08.2025 05:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Frenzied monsters for instance have so little health my crew was able to take one down in like under 3 mins, and that included riding to the monsterโs location. No quest should be anywhere near that short.
11.08.2025 05:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0There is no monster like that in wilds. And I think it could have done with some balancing to get more time out of all the very well designed monsters. A lot of people will probably just plow through to the end game very easily. And some monsters are just bafflingly underpowered (cont.)
11.08.2025 05:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The core loop of new monster, new gear is there and very rewarding. There is lots of new streamlining. And so progress is very smooth, even for newcomers. This means it lacks the walls that give a true feeling of accomplishment. For instance MG3โs Barroth being the guy you need to learnโ(cont.)
11.08.2025 05:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0If youโre even considering PC Iโd suggest doing your research. It seems like people get wildly different results with similar setups.
Iโve only played on PS5 and had almost no issues to speak of.
