I feel like the thing no one talks about (I've said this before) is how tired being in pain makes you, even if that pain allows you to function. I'm exhausted at 3 pm when I'm not normally, and the only thing different today is migraine. Pain doesn't just hurt, you know?

Every time I open this app I see news so bad I wouldn’t have been capable of imagining it a few years ago. Hard to act normal in these conditions.

(There always is for me, if I make it to day 2 and haven't gotten rid of it. Sigh.)

Day 2 of a migraine (and fwiw, I am mostly functional during migraine; I know I'm lucky) is really fucking demoralizing. The first day included extra speech and a very filling dinner to try to chase it away (and all the advil) and alas, it is present again upon waking up. Will there be a day 3?

yandere-angela i think it's important to acknowledge that the reason why mastercard/visa has such a stranglehold on american society is because cash is not the main form of payment in the usa. the predominance of card has effectively privatized currency in japan, one of the reasons why dlsite and other similar websites are able to just remove visa as a payment option instead of changing any of their merchandise (aside from the fact that visa doesn't have a monopoly here) is because cash payments for online transactions remain an option. even if you don't have a jcb credit card or paypay or whatever, you can still pay for your online purchases using cash by taking your barcode to a convenience store, and you can do this for essentially every online vendor, meaning credit card companies can't just impose their moral judgments on your purchases with much repercussion butch-snorlax How does that barcode system work? Piggybacking on this, most states have LDS-affiliated libraries, which means the central genealogy library in SLC will send out rare microfilm and microfiche for viewing and making copies and such. At affiliate libraries, you can also access EVERYTHING that's been digitized, for free.
