USAID.gov is down. Why is this concerning? Trump has no legal authority to eliminate a congressionally funded independent agency. The work of USAID is vital, and if this can happen to them, it can happen to any of us.

Don’t think I’ll be flying any time soon. Not that I fly a lot, but I definitely won’t know. Those jobs are woefully understaffed and no one is checking on safety.

Everyone at my house is sick. Had Pat take extra time off so the family could do activities. The only activities are kids shows, drinking Gatorade and coughing. Joy.

We like the UK version better than the US version (which just started its season 3 episodes). But we have to wait for UK season three to be released here. It’s the only reality show we watch, mostly for the host, Alan Cumming.

Yesterday, I heard Sia’s version of “California Dreaming” on a clip of video of the LA area before and after some of the fire images. I hadn’t heard it before, but it’s a gorgeous piece of work. Our thoughts are with our CA family and friends.
