Good story.
Once our cat came home deep into the night (he could open the window by himself). We were in bed and I was relieved to hear that our cat was finally at home, eating his food in the kitchen. But then, on the other hand, I heard that he was under out bed, growling. A […]

Ainuke "asi": retsensent Ave Taavet kirjutab "semiootilisest tulevärgist". Mu meelest on raamatus semiootikat ikka väga minimaalselt. Kivivalges on filosoofiat küll, aga see filosoofia puudutab põhimõtteliselt ikkagi asju, mitte sõnu jms märke. Kivivalge kardab strukturalismi ja saussure'likku […]

It wasn't just the Democrat establishment and its major donors who did everything they could to sink Mamdani. It was also large sections of the "liberal" press. What do we learn from this? That they would rather the Democrats fail than be led by people who want a fairer, kinder, greener society.

Maybe you mixed up Leland Palmer and Leyland James Kirby. Kind of appropriate mix-up though.

It is understandable, yet at the same time most bizarre that the whole world takes this man so seriously. Eagerly follows every single word he talks or writes.

I started out as a big fan of #Jesu in late 2000s and mostly didn't get Godflesh. But I gradually started to get them. These days is still very much like older Jesu stuff but Godflesh is the metal act I listen to most often. Interestingly, Jesu hasn't put out any good records since 2010 […]

Metal has usually been too much confined by the boundaries of subculture(s), but JK Broadrick has organically mixed very different kinds of extreme metal, post punk, hip hop, drum'n'bass, dub, and shoegaze with no regards to unwritten rules of some subculture whatsoever. This is very rare. Who […]

#Godflesh will be performing in Riga next Saturday (11 Oct). This is important. #JustinKBroadrick is not just one of the most trailblazing artists in metal, being a vocalist of the first Napalm Death album and starting the genre of industrial metal. But he is true auteur of metal - a world where […]

A scientist stands in front of an enormous contraption
"I created this device to test my theory that our entire reality is a simulation, but the readings I'm
getting suggest something much worse"
"What?" Asks a second scientist.
"We're living in a cartoon!" Says the first.
"Does it at least have a good punchline?" says the second.
The fiorst scientist carefully looks over the data, then eventually replies "Nope"

Väikevenna leiba on meil siin Tartus müüdud aastakümneid, tootjaks neil päevil Eesti Leivatööstus.

Väikevenna leiva kvaliteet on alla läinud. Ja leivapäts ise väiksemaks. Tegu on kahetsusväärse, et mitte öelda tõsise arenguga meie mikrokliimas.

Night time. Three figures walk up a set of stairs. They are in fact Penrose stairs, an impossible object which one can walk up endlessly.
Low on the side of the stairs is a window. Another figure leans out and shouts up at the walkers:
“Guys! I'm sure it's not easy being trapped in an endless paradox representing the limited nature of human perception, but some of us are trying to sleep down here!”

#Bluesky doesn't really plan to federate, right? I.e. join #Fediverse. All this talk some two years ago was just some kind of publicity stunt. This bridging thing clearly doesn't work and they are probably not planning to make it better.
