as jokes at first but being seen in a more srs way as the show progressed. bc that leads to very very fucked up situations that were at first meant to be taken in a comedic tone and it's suddenly not. I think that and the show's tendency to be too much in every possible way are its worst problems

yeah jupeter wasn't always the healthiest relationship (hum hum the last few minutes of final resting place) but it's pretty hard to compare to stolitz I think because from what I've heard their relationship is unbelievably fucked up

tbh I dislike stolitz but I also dislike helluva boss so... and the comparison between jupeter and stolitz really doesn't make the latter shine lmao
it's just a very loud duo in the bad way if that makes sense
also they are both so wildly unhealthy for each other most of the time it's mind-blowing

there's similar vibes in like "overdramatic fancy man who seems put together but really isn't" and "messy self-loathing impulsive clever guy" but the core parts of their characters (juno's need to better the world and his "moral outrage" + peter' revolutionary background) are missing tho

i've thought about this before and tbh (coming from someone who knows about helluva boss but who's not a big fan of the show) stolitz and jupeter have kinda similar personalities but their narrative arcs, backstories and motivations are very different ones. also tpp is undeniably written better
