Adored my tortie. Stubborn as f., but loving & fearless. Fearsome to dogs & intruder cats, but amazingly brave & gentle around toddlers. Nosy at the vet,& around plumbers, electricians. I used to say she was part dog. I totally get the "tortitude," but am surprised to hear it assoc. with nastiness.

We have osprey in York County, but they do nest in some callenging places, e.g. atop playing lights. No wonder, when homeowners keep cutting down the trees along creeksides and riverbanks.
