i think that was part of its charm cause i felt like that most of the game, everyone was trying to get me to play it and i hated it
around the time those people started disliking it the story and character destruction then growth started happening and it was great

idk i enjoyed the hell out of it, i didn't want to play it cause it seemed like a giant sausage fest bros out to find themselves type of story but the music, gameplay, and story were fantastic for me
