This truly sucks. Access to citizenship should not be a privilege. And ditching the social integration requirement and upping the cost will do worse for Belgium as a community. People will not feel a part of it.

Its about assigning people to boxes & therefore roles that suit the system, rather than, oh idk, allowing people to live.
I was watching a Philosophy Tube video when this news came through & Abigail said: "Starting with the politics and inventing facts about women's bodies to justify it".
Attacking trans rights is attacking feminism. Terfs will drag us back to gender essentialism and everything that comes with it.

Finally reading this book and when I realised the author is a climate activist with a health professional background I just *chefs kiss*
Because we can dream of a healthy planet that we can breathe on, indeed it's not a radical aspiration.
I've been told the Kilmainham Gaol is a really good visit so that is next on my list. Also walking the main streets and listening to buskers - some have a following! For shopping radical books there is Connolly Books. And you can get the DART to some more of the coastline if you have the time!

Why is it always “impossible” to build homes, lower bills and stop the climate crisis but inevitable that our generation is worse off than our parents and that 8 men own as much wealth as half the world?
These are political choices. And our politicians need to make better ones.
