you could swap the recharge timer with skilled & encouraged play but ehh... isnt the better score and survival you'd get from that already rewarding enough itself? maybe you could slap a rank increase on to balance it back out tho lol? but also wouldnt it be funny if rank increased for *not* bombing

that game is almost at my limit for the amount of stress i like in a video game though lol... but it's kind of hard to think of what to change without compromising its push and pull.

i think that tension is a big part of why i like mars matrix, it's not a traditional bomb but the reflect / GHB is all you've got, AND you want to be using it for scoreplay, which is also very necessary for survival due to the exp system using the item chaining values too

bombs being a single use tied to a rechargable meter instead of an item stock is kinda interesting right, theoretically you can have way more over the course of a run but any time you use it, you're left without any defensive tool but dodging until you get it again.

And if they're lucky and play games with tight systems it works, but if they aren't (which is far more likely) they become perma stunted
