Hey, just a gentle reminder that "spooks" used as a noun in this context is a slur for Black people and the Black magic trope used to incite fear amongst white folks. I'd suggest something more descriptive like hauntings or eerie atmosphere etc. 🖤

It would be a shame to encourage folks to use banned book lists to do strange things like
-check them out regularly at the library
-request the library order them if they don’t have them
-buy them
-start or support banned book clubs
-organize a banned book kids story time
A real shame

Tomorrow I'm being admitted to a mental healthcare hospital and I'm so relieved to be getting help but also so scared they won't take me seriously like last time and tell me I'm lying. Feeling so conflicted but I genuinely need help so desperately I've been asking for months!

This is their second novel (after They Them Wolf - and IT'S sequel is out this year too, They Them Fae). Their books feature heavy queer rep (this one sapphic FMCs, their first a trans MC), they're indie, and deserve all the love!

Sure, being married is stressful and difficult at times, but on the plus side there’s always somebody else there to tell you when your pet is doing something cute so 🤷‍♂️

Any Jane Austen 🙈 I've got like 5 on my shelves I just need to, you know, actually pick them up 😅

I've reread it once only and want to again maybe next year? I like to space it out so I'm in a different mindset, different person to take in new aspects. My first love and still my favourite of all time this series!

I've seen a lot of positive signs for the generations ahead and I honestly feel good leaving the world in their hands but also sad we have to pass it on like this. They're not as bad as the older folk imply a lot of the time 🖤

A tufted titmouse, up close, perched on a needled evergreen branch in a delicate, light snow. The tuft is up, a little. The gray-and-white bird has a warming sunset hint under its wings. Its beak is black and short, like a black sunflower seed. The bird looks impudent. Annoyed by your presence. That's all right. Humans have not done much to earn the favor of birds these days though to be fair, the bird is there because there is a bird feeder nearby, so a little gratitude would be nice, bird. It's fine.
