absolutely not, the robot enrichment stuff was added in an update and the assets for the fling trails all exist in the base 'portal2' folder, if it was from robot enrichment it would be in the 'update' folder.

it goes completely unused, its set to 0 by default and will refuse to change unless you have cheats enabled. this couldve been scrapped for either artistic reasons or a logstical programming one and both would be valid

theres a cheat command leftover in the game called “mp_bot_fling_trail” which creates a speed warping effect whenever you fly through the air in coop, you can set it to 1 and it works fine minus a few tiny glitches

however if you set it to 2, you can make your copy of portal 2 about 20% cooler

I suspect this screenshot was taken in the middle of them implementing the “The Part Where He Kills You” gag, so the Chapter title hadn’t been adjusted yet.

Elaboration: This is not a super early screenshot, this is 100% the final month(s) of Portal 2 development.

By default, Portal 2’s Chapter titles are set to appear at the elevator in their script, the reason why Chapter 9’s is appearing in the elevator is because it hasn’t been setup correctly yet.

The regular mysteryman sprite is in the core alongside gerson. Torial is driving a stretched car on top of the screen towards susie and noelle. Noelle is using her snowgrave sprite. Susie's pants are blue. They are both horrified. There is a text box that says "carol will get stronger" and "carol become stronger".
